Bovendien is handmatig kalibreren interessant, omdat je dan enigszins in de gaten hebt waar het precies om draait.Om de batterij van je laptop te kalibreren, laad je de laptop eerst volledig op, dus tot 100 procent. Vervolgens laat je de batterij minstens twee uur rusten door de laptop aan de oplader te laten hangen, zodat deze op netstroom draait en de batterij de kans krijgt om af te koelen.

In het Configuratiescherm stel je nu in dat de laptop naar Slaapstand moet overschakelen wanneer er nog 5 procent batterij over is. Koppel de oplader los. Je kunt nu je laptop gewoon blijven gebruiken tot deze de 5 procent bereikt, of je kunt hem gewoon aan laten staan zonder te gebruiken. Zorg er in het laatste geval dan voor dat de laptop niet in slaapmodus glipt omdat je hem niet gebruikt, anders heeft het proces weinig zin.

Wanneer de computer eenmaal in de slaapmodus schiet bij 5 procent, laat deze dan minstens 5 uur rusten. Pak daarna de oplader er weer bij en laad de laptop op tot de volledige 100 procent (je kunt je laptop gewoon gebruiken tijdens het opladen). Wanneer je de laptop vanaf nu gebruikt, zal de weergave van de resterende capaciteit beter overeenkomen met de werkelijkheid.HP introduceerde eerder vandaag ’s werelds dunste laptop tijdens de New York Times International Luxury Conference. Gepolijst koper zorgt voor een luxe finish. Doordat het scharnier van de laptop is verborgen ontstaat de illusie van een scharniervrij systeem. Een hybride accu die is opgesplitst in twee dunne delen, maar dezelfde wattage levert als een enkele accu met een batterijduur van 9,5 uur. Het scherm is een Full HD IPS edge-to-edge display van Corning Gorilla glas en levert een geweldige kijkervaring voor bijvoorbeeld films en fotobewerking. Een 6e generatie Intel Core i5 of i7 processor en een bliksemsnelle PCIe SSD met een opslagcapaciteit van 512GB. Het interne geheugen is 8GB. Intel hyperbaric coolingsysteem houdt het device koel. Stereo speakers van Bang & Olufsen met HP Audio Boost technologie. Drie full function USB Type-C connectors. Twee daarvan zijn uitgerust met Thunderbolt en zorgen voor de snelste connectie tot op heden. De HP Spectre 13,3 is naar verwachting vanaf juli beschikbaar, de prijs is nog niet bekend.

Computermaker HP brengt in mei de dunste laptop ooit op de markt. De HP Spectre is slechts 10,4 millimeter dik en is gemaakt van aluminium en koolstofvezel. De laptop kon zo dun worden gemaakt omdat het apparaat is uitgerust met een speciaal sluitingsmechanisme, een scherm van 2 mm dikte en een toetsenbord van 1,3 mm in doorsnee.De Spectre weegt 1,11 kilogram en heeft een batterij die volgens de fabrikant 9 uur en 45 minuten meegaat. Het scherm heeft een diagonaal van 13 inch met een full hd-resolutie. De laptop bevat geen touchscreen, omdat hij daar dikker van zou worden.

Verder heeft de laptop drie usb c-poorten, waarmee de laptop ook wordt opgeladen. Twee van de aansluitingen kunnen ook worden gebruikt om schermen met een ultra hd-resolutie aan te sluiten. Ook kunnen de usb-aansluitingen worden gebruikt voor het opladen van apparaten, ook als de laptop in de slaapstand staat.De Spectre heeft een goud-zwarte behuizing met aan de bovenzijde een nieuw HP-logo, dat zal worden gebruikt voor de krachtigste laptops van de fabrikant.

De laptop heeft 8 GB werkgeheugen en 265 GB SSD-opslag. Er komt één versie met Intel i5-processor en één met een i7-processor op de markt. In de VS kost de laptop met i5 1.170 dollar (1.030 euro), terwijl de i7-versie 1.250 dollar (1.100 euro) kost.Nederlandse prijzen zijn nog niet bekendgemaakt. De Spectre is de dunste laptop die verkrijgbaar is. HP vergelijkt het apparaat met de nieuwe MacBook, die 13,1 millimeter dik is.HP brengt behalve de Spectre in juni ook nog twee nieuwe modellen in de Envy-serie uit, naast een nieuwe 15 inch-versie van de Envy x360.Volgens HP is er steeds meer behoefte aan premium-producten. Zotac Backpack PC The Zotac Backpack PC and its brethren offer a rather dramatic solution to a unique problem that only affects the Vive. If the Vive succeeds commercially, we can imagine a future version being wireless or building a self-contained computer into the headset. However, for now, HTC's device requires a powerful desktop-class computer and standard wireless protocols such as 802.11ac just aren't responsive enough to go without the cord.
